If you want to grow your business and you want to use YouTube as a primary source of traffic, then you go do two ways on this. The first one is running your YouTube ads campaign and the second one is optimizing your YouTube channel for organic traffic.
Both of these ways can benefit your business well. YouTube is great for awareness and for reach and that’s a place where I think it’s just a great advantage to use ads.
The organic part of YouTube is amazing because it is a tool that brings ongoing traffic and you can have your videos found when you have fully optimized them.
If you’re using YouTube to promote your business and you have some really great content the return on investment is big. This article will cover more on how you can utilize YouTube organic traffic for your business.
Tips to maximize YouTube organic traffic to your advantage
The power of consistency
YouTube algorithm, just like Google’s, love new content. So the key to a successful YouTube following and traffic is posting consistent video content. By consistency, I suggest you post a new video every day.
In fact, I did the same challenge, which I called the 90-day Challenge where I did 90 videos in 90 days. You can check my 90-day video challenge here.
The last 22 days have been an amazing experience for me. However, the first 5 days were horrible. It was a lot of work learning the system, getting all my processes down, but by day 7-12, I started getting in a swing and I was able to really get into the groove, where I enjoyed creating new valuable content every day.
Have a plan
First things first, you have to have a strategy or a roadmap in creating your videos. And your plan should include keyword research. Since YouTube is owned by Google, the entire algorithm and system are designed for people with intent.
By intent, this means I come online and I search for something by typing in a question or a phrase, wherein I am looking for a solution on YouTube. So this thing that I am doing is called intent. Therefore, you need to have keywords with intent.
Understand the keywords that people use to search then create a list of these keywords to use for your YouTube content. You also need to take note that YouTube search is not the same as Google search.
This is why you need to use a keyword research tool specifically for YouTube searches only. My recommended tools, which I also personally use are MorningFame and TubeBuddy.
These are paid tools but very cost-efficient. It is easy to do keyword research and both provide a wide range of keyword alternatives or synonyms that you can utilize on your YouTube video content.
Aside from the keyword suggestions, you can also use the tools to check for the keyword ranking and how competitive the keyword is for your channel.
Doing keyword research will help you plan your content properly and at the same time, it will help optimize your video content as well as your YouTube channel with the right keywords that you can easily rank for.
Conclusion
If you want to really maximize your marketing efforts using YouTube video marketing, I highly suggest that you watch my 90-day challenge and you do the same for your channel.
Anyone can easily do this with consistent publishing of video content, with proper keyword research, and using these keywords to optimize your video content and your YouTube channel for SEO.
