As Google always reminds us, “content is king”. The same logic applies to video content. These days, you see social media platforms already provide their audience with video feeds because online viewers now prefer video content over text.

However, I often see beautiful corporate videos that are just so underutilized. Instead, video content should be syndicated. It is engaging for customers more than anything else that is available. It is the most shared content and so every time you create a video, you need to set a plan on how to syndicate it.

 

Tips on how to do video marketing and syndication

Tip #1 Keyword Research

A good marketing video is based heavily on keyword research. Before anything else, start with keyword research. Spend an amount of time doing your research and looking for search keywords and terms. Pick more intent-based keywords and use these keywords to create your content.

Use good keyword research tools to help you find keywords that your audience is looking for. You can check out TubeBuddy and Morning Fame for this. Both are good keyword research tools for YouTube.

 

Tip #2 Blog

Do an article version of every video content that you make. Why? Because you are maximizing your content through text version as well. This way you are also maximizing the platforms that you can use to share your content. With video and articles, you can share these on all possible platforms, where your market audience is.

 

Tip #3 Share

Once you have different versions of your content, you may share these on social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and more.

 

Tip #4 Google My Business

Utilize Google My Business (GMB), especially if you are a local business entity. The GMB is a free platform from Google that businesses can use to promote their website. You can do a lot with GMB like sharing your posts and announcing your promos.

Tip #5 SEO

Always optimize your videos using SEO strategy. Make sure that you properly create your title, description, tags, and link format using your target keywords. By doing this, you are increasing your chances of being found online. Remember that people use the search feature to find what they are looking for. Thus, it makes sense to also use the same search key terms for your content so you can get a better ranking on search results.

 

Tip #6 Syndicate

Your videos should not only be seen on one platform. As much as possible, share it on video syndication sites and also on other platforms such as DailyMotion, Reddit, and Quora.

This is my overview of how you do your video marketing. The key here is to promote and market your video content to as many platforms as possible. You want your brand to be out there. In addition to this, by creating a blog version of your video, you get to also share your blog on social media websites.
