YouTube is the second largest search engine next to Google. It has 2 billion active users and every day, the platform gets 500 hours per minute of video uploads and 1 billion hours of video watched.

This is what you should be focusing your marketing on. So in today’s article, Video Marketing Tips: 2020 And Beyond, I will share with you the best and most effective video marketing tips for 2020 and beyond that you can use in your business and are simple to implement.

Video Marketing Tips: 2020 & Beyond

YouTube marketing

I’m often asked about the different types of videos: there’s a video for YouTube, a video for Facebook, a video for Instagram, and there is TikTok. While there are so many platforms available, I see this as a major mistake for most business owners and marketers. They try to use video marketing in all the places equally.

My advice: don’t. Just pick the best one based on your research, where your market is, and which platform is best for your business. In my agency. we specialize in Google ads and YouTube ads. My typical client will often go to YouTube to learn about digital marketing. So we only focus our marketing videos on YouTube.

Yes, there is also Facebook and Instagram, but we choose YouTube as we strategically see a lot of value in this platform in terms of marketing tools and conversion. Just pick a primary channel that you’re gonna focus your growth on. In our case, we post almost every day on YouTube and we take these videos that we create and we post them to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, Quora, and on our blog.

Google Ads

I see so many business owners and marketing directors that aren’t really jumping in and taking advantage of the plaid platform, specifically Google ads. We use Google ads to promote our video, we get it in front of our audiences, and we get tens of thousands of views on specific videos that we want to promote for our top of the funnel or our retargeting.

You can do the same thing. You can create a video regularly, you can build your audience organically, and you can pick 2-3 videos with good strong value and put those in Google ads.

Google ads can deliver your videos to your audience immediately. You can automatically get video views for as low as 1 cent each. YouTube and video marketing is not a crowded space and so you’re able to get inexpensive traffic.

How to set up your video marketing

Video is our number one generator of new business in our own agency. Here’s how I want you to start doing your video marketing:

Keyword research

You can download a chrome plug-in called TubeBuddy and use it to search for terms that your ideal customers would be interested in. With TubeBuddy, you are provided with data on the viewing traffic like search volume, competition, tags, and keyword suggestions.

The secret in ranking for your terms on YouTube is to use TubeBuddy to find low competition keywords. You can use the slower organic approach for long-term results for videos but at the same time, you also want immediate results.

So what you do in addition to doing the organic method, you go after the biggest sought-after terms that people are looking for and go into Google ads to create an ad campaign.

You don’t need a big budget because you can get views for 1-5 cents. There are also different options you can utilize when running your ads like using information such as demographics such as targeting certain age groups and certain audiences. You have all of these targeting tools to build an audience.

You may also target your market through keywords. You can target people who are searching for specific keywords.

Google Ads manager

Once you have enough information about your target audience and your keywords, you can then start setting up your ads. To do this, go to your Google Ads manager. The ads manager is straightforward and you can easily set up your budget, keywords, targeting, etc.

It is also easy to set up your ad content, including your headlines, landing page URL, and call to action.

Conclusion

Setting up your video marketing is very simple and easy to start. With video platforms like YouTube and tools like TubeBuddy, you can start driving traffic, building your brand, getting views, and so on.

Focus on how-to’s videos since these kinds of videos are what people are searching for on YouTube. You can easily target your market in two different ways: organic and paid traffic.
