How to utilize video marketing for 2020 and beyond
Use video to build a brand
You can conquer the search results for your brand name by simply utilizing video in your marketing strategy. For example, when you search WSI Priority Media on Google, you will see that we got video results as well for our brand as shown below:
What we have done is to also add visuals to our search results. This means that whenever we are searched on Google, the searcher can see some visual aids on the search results, with our videos and photos shown on the top-most part of the results page.
Use video for your website
Place 2 core videos on your landing page. The first one is placed on the top page, preferably right after your header section. This video should tell about who the company is and what you do or what you offer. Just provide a 1-2-minute video that sums up all of these things.
This is a good strategy for people who do not like to read texts. You can capture the visitor’s attention and tell your story in minutes without putting too many texts on the page.
Under your video, I suggest you place a few texts and then place your second video, just before the footer section, on clients’ testimonials to create integrity and trust.
Rank your video for your keywords
Do your homework and conduct keyword research for your videos. You can rank your videos on Google and YouTube. However, take note that when you do keyword research, use a different keyword research tool for YouTube as YouTube search results differ from Google search results.
Run ads for your video
Running ads for your videos can convert into leads. You can run ads and pay only 1 to 2 cents per view. When you run YouTube Ads, I highly recommend that you run your ads for “in-market audience”. This targets people who are actively looking for your products or services. Your videos will be shown to these people, which gives you a higher chance of conversion.
You can also run ads for “affinity audience”, which are composed of people who have the same interests in your industry. So if you are a local business, for example, a bike shop, then you can target individuals who are into biking through affinity audiences.
Promote your video on social media
You can expand your audience reach by sharing your videos on social media.
Video marketing works and this is based on my own experience. We are already utilizing videos in our business and to our clients. Videos are a game changer and I advise you to try it and utilize it with your other marketing strategies.
